Local-first product posture

Telepath is a macOS app for Voice AI Agents. Call state, prompt assembly, speech detection, transcription, reasoning, speech synthesis, transcripts, call logs, tool-call logs, configured local records, and diagnostics are intended to run or remain on your Mac.

Call and contact data

You are responsible for the SIP credentials, contacts, scripts, prompts, and calling workflows you configure in Telepath. The app may process phone numbers, caller names, call metadata, call state, transcripts, summaries, tool-call logs, local records, recordings when enabled, and diagnostics so it can place calls, answer calls, display live state, and support local review workflows.

Recording defaults to off. If recording is enabled, Telepath is designed to play a notice at the start of the call informing the other party that the call is recorded and to make the local recording state visible in the call UI. You are responsible for determining whether notice, consent, or other legal requirements apply to your calls.

Cloud services

Telepath does not require a cloud AI model endpoint. SIP carriers and telephony providers you configure process signaling and media according to their own policies.

If you configure webhook tools, custom HTTPS APIs, Zapier, n8n, Make, Pipedream, or other workflow destinations, those destinations may receive the call data, transcript summaries, contact information, and tool inputs you choose to send. Those third parties process data under their own terms and privacy policies.

Website

The Telepath website is informational. If you email us or request access, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address and message contents.

Compliance responsibility

Telepath is a local tool. Customers are responsible for lawful calling, consent, scripts, credentials, contact eligibility, recording notices, opt-out handling, do-not-call handling, data retention, and domain-specific obligations. Product checks are operational safety signals, not legal advice or a guarantee of compliance.

You should not configure Telepath to process sensitive or regulated data unless you have confirmed that your use, storage, notices, consents, webhook destinations, and retention practices are lawful and appropriate for that data.
